There’s a special kind of magic when an album title completely encapsulates the feeling of the record. Philippe Bronchtein’s 2022 album Catch My Breath provides a safe place to do exactly that… recover, breathe, and to catch your breath no matter what you’re running towards or from. Bronchtein’s hauntingly smooth, deep baritone wraps the listener up in a well-worn blanket as he quietly relays stories full of vivid imagery. It’s a modern bedtime story for heavy hearts that soothes the soul.

Set to a rich Nashville soundscape that provides just enough shine to soften the edges, the songs on Catch My Breath keep the darkness at bay, but hardly shy away from the shadows by exploring themes of loss, escape, and a well-traveled road. Mixed by our very own Ian Olvera and mastered by stalwart License Lab associate Mystery Room Mastering, this album has a timeless, yet modern sound that perfectly suits Bronchtein’s songs.

In addition to his work as a solo musician, Bronchtein can be seen playing pedal steel on the road with Pony Bradshaw and Mickey Guyton. We’ve also greatly enjoyed working with Philippe on production music for our catalog, utilizing his many talents with albums such as Liquid Layers (3ING-071) and Sparkle Folk (OSPK-084)
